About the instructor:Gina is an Italian native speaker, originally from a medieval town near Venice, Italy. She holds a BA in English and German Literature with a Minor in Italian from I.U.L.M., the University of Foreign Languages in Milan, Italy. Gina has over 20 years of experience teaching Italian in both Italy and the USA. Fluent in both Italian and English, she has extensive knowledge of cultural differences and serves as a cultural consultant, advising clients on appropriate language use within the target culture. Gina is also an accomplished writer with excellent grammar and a deep understanding of various writing styles in both Italian and English. Her work as a translator and interpreter involves translating written and audio materials while preserving their original meaning, tone, and format.
About the class: The Low intermediate Italian class is designed for students who have studied Italian for a year and want to consolidate their knowledge and skills.
The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to communicate more effectively in Italian, both orally and in writing, in a variety of everyday situations. Throughout the course, students will learn new grammar structures, vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, and develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
The course will be conducted primarily in Italian, with the teacher providing explanations and examples in Italian and English as needed.
By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in Italian grammar and vocabulary, and will be able to communicate more confidently and effectively in Italian in a variety of real-life situations.
